Some time ago I
conducted a survey on the topic of developer salaries. It's time to talk about the results.
In total, about 1900 questionnaires were filled out by developers from more than 300 cities, mainly from Russia and Ukraine.
First of all, I would like to thank all the volunteers who did not take a few minutes to fill out the questionnaire and all those who supported the initiative in Habré.
')
Of course, it was not without difficulties. A few reviews (as a rule, they all came from users of the RSDN) were sharply negative due to a fundamental disagreement over how it was necessary to divide into stacks, technologies, etc. The most original example of dividing the world of IT into stacks was: “Linux, Other” :) Many, not finding their favorite framework in the form, closed the browser with tears in their eyes with thoughts of total injustice and universal conspiracy!
But in fact it is very difficult to classify IT unequivocally, if it were not so, we would not have seen the battles of technology, frameworks and styles. All interested persons could indicate additional data in a specially designated field, although analysis showed that in the total mass of “exceptions” there were few.
A good and detailed analysis takes a long time, so the results will be given in portions.
Today will be presented statistics on stacks, technology and experience.
Since salaries are very different depending on the city, it was therefore decided to conduct an analysis in the context of specific cities. On the one hand, this is very convenient, on the other hand, the effect of an insufficient number of questionnaires for small cities is observed, which has yielded specific (and not entirely truthful) results in some places.
Of all the questionnaires, records were thrown out in which the salary is less than $ 100 and more than $ 6000 - this is done so that several questionnaires do not lead to large statistical “outliers”. Also, only those cities were selected from which at least 10 questionnaires arrived.
Actually, the pictures (I can't enter something on Habrastoraj, so I uploaded it to another hosting):

Interactive graphics can be viewed at the links:
By stacksFrom work experienceBy programming languagesIn areas of developmentI will not draw any conclusions, everything can be seen on the charts.
This is a preliminary version of the reports, their quantity (and quality) will increase. Since it is easy to make a mistake when working with big data, suggestions, comments, bug reports, as well as suggestions on what graphics I would like to see, are accepted.
Thanks for attention!
Upd.
Thanks for the feedback and criticism. I recreated the graphics, reloaded the images - now they are clearer and the legend does not close the graphics.
Also added a new schedule - "By areas of development."
