A few hours ago I had a chance to look for info about one medicine. The very first link in Google is what is needed - to the site for moms. After reading a little, the brain realized that the text is left, completely off topic. But I did not close the bookmark - I saw familiar characters =)
Instead of the page, its code was given in a pretty way, in plain text. Further more!
We climb into the code!
The same thing happened on the main page of the site.
<?php
Yeah, so Joomla, so there is a config - /configuration.php. So it is, the config is also given to the text.
I climbed into the
jungle base. Looked at the list of users, chose from the list of admins, the 2nd of them (their emails had the same suffixes and the ID in the users table is small - it seems to be true) sent a letter with the essence of the problem. I did not change anything (I have already done too much by the standards of our legislation).
I must say that I contacted me on Skype immediately.
From myself I will add, I immediately climbed to look for other sites on the same IP - sometimes 250+ sites come across ...
To my regret, on the server it was the only site ... even though the hoster was lucky here ...
It turned out that the site is hosted by one fairly large Ukrainian hosting provider.
Links to specific sites will not give at the request of the owner.

Letter to support
On my offer to help, the admin said that he was already figuring out the reasons and keeping the correspondence.
Here is its part (name and IP are closed with asterisks)

Good evening *****,
Sorry, but your site is working fine.
Refine your problem or provide a screenshot of it (which you can
Post here: imageshack.us , or attach to a letter).
Thank.
Respectfully,

I still get the index code. please understand the essence of the problem
And support is understood! After 10 minutes, they added AddHandler to the Apache config and everything was back to square one.
But because of this negligence hoster people now have a lot of problems.
Okay, they’ll get the old backup back ñ if anyone secretly went to the admins, it’s not scary. But after all, the code of the page also hit the search engines (and the site, I must say, is quite strong, Google has top3). Yes, and the database with password hashes and email-s users could merge all and sundry. Hope for only one thing - the site is not IT related. Mothers, most likely, did not understand anything.
Instead of conclusion
I must say that, as it turned out later, today the site was transferred to another server (and a new account at the hoster). Apparently, in connection with the weekend, the admins set up the server "under the driver", since they did not notice such a banal error. Client error - they did not check the results, for which they paid.
The most annoying - I myself use (or correctly say - used) the services of this hoster.
UPD: It took like an hour and a half, but the hoster passwords never changed ... the session with mysql is hanging. Let's see how long it will last ...
