Since the
last global meeting of the Creative Commons
community in Sapporo, we have witnessed the
launch of the CC0 and the
public domain label and half a dozen
CC jurisdictions with an even greater number of work. To celebrate this and many other key CC events, we announce our next global meeting, which will be held
from September 16 to 18 this year in Warsaw, Poland , organized jointly with our team of CC Poland led by Alec Tarkowski.
The event will be attended by
branches from more than 70 jurisdictions, employees of CC, as well as a number of members of the
Board of Directors of CC . The meeting marks the beginning of the collection of requirements for version 4.0 of the CC license set and will be the venue for workshops and forums to create the CC community and make efforts in key sectors such as education, public information and data. Planning is already underway to maximize the ability of branches to meet with the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders during the event. As September approaches, more information will be published in our
blog , such as scholarships and funding for affiliates, as well as ways in which the community can contribute to events and meetings.
We look forward to our community contributing over the next few months to make this meeting as successful and productive as possible. Many sincere thanks to the teams and CC Australia, and CC Poland for providing convincing suggestions for jointly hosting the event in response to our
request !
