Next Saturday, June 18th, I will hold a
master class on Sphinx in Kiev, similar to the one held at the recent Devconf. Stay a week, it's time to register. Under the cut a couple of answers to standard questions.
About the plan of the master class. According to the link, an
approximate (!) Plan, after a short introduction (maximum hour) for complete beginners - the actual order of presentation of the material will change according to the level and wishes of the audience (see democratic voting and then my totalitarian outrage). In the absence of newcomers who hear the word Sphinx for the first time - we mercilessly skip the introduction, so you shouldn't be late.
About the language. Russian, I don’t show it to me on the move, I don’t want to speak to the Independence Square. If suddenly, 90% of the listeners suddenly want English for some reason, it will surprise me incredibly, but I think I can switch.
What to take with you. You can not take anything at all. Laptops are not required, tk. no practical work is planned at this time (there is a lot of material, different people are interested in different things, so the whole “theory” would have been enough to chew on). Typically, a notebook and pens for notes is enough.
')
Pro discussion of your specific technical issues right at the master class. I usually for, except when against. It is necessary that the question be on the current topic of the current, plus you need to be able to quickly and clearly formulate the second. The rule is simple: everything that is interesting to the team is discussed on the spot, the rest is separate on the sidelines.
About the
book and the degree of intersection of the material. In the book is described in some detail every initial material. However, no advanced material in it, alas, no. Those. intersections will be, but not so much.
About payment and other organizational issues. Alas, I don’t know anything, SmartMe company is doing this, for which she thanks a lot and all your organizational questions.
About after-party. As a newcomer, I cannot organize, but
if when it spontaneously self-organizes, I must take part. All technical issues that we do not have time or can not discuss at the master class can be discussed there.
So it goes. See you in Kiev.
