Because I did not like the idea or the person does not agree with the author. And such are always located. If the article is good, and I liked, for example, 97 out of 100. 2. I didn’t like the article - put a minus to the article itself, if you don’t want it to have an eyesore on the main page. But why put an end to the author. He may write something interesting next time when he sees that his current article has not passed.

3. Respect the opinions of others. I understand that this is not enough in real life, what can we say about the Internet? It is because of the snobbery of "more reputable" users to beginners, they will think 1000 times before expressing their own opinion. In this situation, there will always be an idyll of opinions, but no collision of thoughts, ideas, nothing new will definitely be born.
