Afisha-Mir has opened a service for travelers
Last night Afisha Mir opened the public beta version of the mir.travel Internet service. This site and the mobile applications for iPhone and Android that work with it help travelers understand what to see and where to go in any city in the world.
The last few months in testing the service could take part by joining a closed group on Facebook. Now the site mir.travel is open to all comers. Free apps can be found in the App Store and in the Android Market.

This is what Danish Dugayev, editor-in-chief of the Afisha-Mir magazine, writes about the new service:
“On mir.travel, you can create an individual guide to an unfamiliar city with descriptions, photos and maps. Type in the search box the name of the city or country, and "World" will present a ranking of local attractions, restaurants, bars, shops and other addresses based on the recommendations of your friends, other users, experts on cities and countries, authors of guidebooks "Posters" and the editorial board of the magazine " Poster-World.
From these addresses, you can choose the most alluring, or in general, all that is on the site. The resulting guide can be printed or downloaded to your smartphone.
Today “Afisha-Mir” is more than 1,500 cities and 35,000 places. This number is growing rapidly: during the closed testing, users added more than 3000 new addresses.
Mobile application "Afisha-Mir" can work in offline mode, saving money in roaming. Offline maps of cities are available with automatic determination of user coordinates. Applications not only give advice and tell about the sights, but also tell the traveler how long to get to them.
Through the application, you can keep travel notes and add photos. As soon as the phone connects to wi-fi, all this is automatically published on mir.travel. The more objects added or recommended by the user and the better they rated his recommendations, the higher his chance to get expert status on the site. ”
