Nofollow does not work?

Today I came across 2 posts six months ago about the effect of nofollow on Google rankings and PageRank. According to the authors of both posts, the nofollow tag only partially limits the weight transferred, but not completely:

Blog spam

I have no reason not to believe these people, and I think that this is indeed possible on the English-language Internet. The question is whether nofollow works for Google on Google (other languages ​​do not particularly interest me).

Now I plan to do the following experiment:

1) 3 different texts will be made and in each mention of one word that is not used (and according to which search results are zero in Google) - for example, " charpykh "

2) each of the texts will be posted 2 times on 3 different sites (ie, 6 locations of each text). As sites for placement I will use it on 3 different freehost.

2a) no internal rankings - no links to these pages - just add them to Google

3) one of the 6 postings will be a link with 10 left blogs in nofollow

4) wait for the results a month and see how it is ranked

What do you think - is there any point in such an experiment? What could be improved in performance?
