PS3 and PlayStation Vita let you play non-stop

Cross-platform gameplay is a good idea, and Sony decided to practice an interesting scheme when, interrupting the game on an “adult” PS3, you can start playing from the same place where you finished on the new-generation PlayStation Vita portable game console. This technology was introduced at E3, and many people liked this idea - both players and technicians who appreciated the idea. The principle of operation is simple - and the PS3 and portable console at the end of the game are saved in the “cloud”, and the save includes absolutely all the characteristics of the environment and the character itself that were relevant at the end of the game.

Starting the game from another device, the save is loaded and the game continues. If I understand correctly, this is about the same as saving when exiting Lineage, the only difference is that the PS3 and PlayStation Vita are relatives, so to speak, and the portable console is like a small PS3.

In general, there is nothing surprising in this scheme, but for gaming consoles this is really a new principle of the game. A real gamer can play a favorite toy at home on an “adult” console, then, in transport, for example (although access to the Network is required), continue the game from the last save location, and “cut” further at your pleasure.

PlayStation Vita has a 3G module, so saving and loading game levels can occur through the use of a connection to the Network via 3G. In this case, you spend almost nothing, since the average size of the save game is only 250 KB. Unfortunately, the guys who demonstrated such a game scheme at E3 did not answer the question of whether you need to buy two copies of one game for PS3 and PlayStation Vita, or you can use one copy. But, I think, to many gamers this question is not so important ...
