Microsoft is ready to transfer Skype encryption algorithm to FSB

Microsoft, which bought Skype in early May, does not exclude the possibility of transferring encryption algorithms of the Internet telephony service to the Russian special services.

Gazeta.ru reports that the President of Microsoft Russia, Nikolay Pryanishnikov, even stated that he would like to do this, while stressing that this issue has not yet been discussed.

“We need to go through several more stages of integration (Skype. - IF),” he said.
')
He noted that Microsoft’s common approach in Russia is “cooperation and partnership with the state”.

In particular, Microsoft has opened the source codes of its software products for Russian special services. “We want to develop our joint laboratory with the FSB,” he said.

PS: I would gladly have posted a post-link, but for some reason, not everyone can.

UPD: Microsoft published a “refutation” , the main idea of which is that Mr. Pryanishnikov spoke about the possible transfer of Skype’s “source codes” rather than “encryption algorithms”. It’s not clear what this refutation should reassure.
