Apple continues week@MuscleNerd tweeted that he was able to hack iOS 5 (less than a day since its release) with the help of a low-level (butrum) Limera1n exploit.

')
Vulnerability is present in iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G, iPad. As for the iPad 2, there is still no news, however, the jailbreak promises soon.
Although with the new iOS, jailbreaking is no longer needed (Apple implemented a lot of features that were previously available only with the help of Cydia tweaks), this news remains joyful both for lovers of hacked applications, and for regular users and developers who want poking around in your device or somehow expand its functionality.
Since Limera1n is a hardware vulnerability, it’s likely that it will not be closed in the final version of iOS 5.

The jailbreak is currently tied (i.e. flies after the device is rebooted).
