Where to go to learn a programmer?

One of the possible, and, in our opinion, successful answers is to the programs of the second higher education of the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State University.

There are many such programs, but I would like to tell you about two of them: “Information Management” and “Economic Security” .

The information management retraining program exists in two formats: 9 months of study - upon completion, a certificate of professional retraining is issued with the right to conduct a new type of professional activity, or 2.5 years of study. In the second case, if you have enough time and courage, then you can continue to study under the program "Economics and Enterprise Management" and get a diploma of the second higher education.

The program “Information Management” logically consists of two blocks of disciplines: “Management of the information system of the company” and disciplines of the economic block. The classes are taught by teachers of the Faculty of Economics and leading business experts (employees of Microsoft companies, Interfin Capital, certified teachers of SAP, etc.)

Groups, as a rule, are no more than 12 people. Classes are lively, many interactive forms. The program is intended, first of all, for graduates of technical colleges who wish to continue their careers not as programmers, but as architects of information systems and IT directors.

The second specialty, which this year will be recruited for the first time - “Economic Security”. What do the economics departments have in common with this program and why do we appeal to programmers ?! Information security specialists (by the way, not only) will be interested in expanding the direction of activity towards researching the economic risks of an enterprise, analyzing factors threatening the economic security of a company, and developing and implementing measures to take an enterprise out of critical situations.

The program of second higher education "Economic Security" lasts 2.5 years. The main blocks of the program: economic disciplines, mathematical, psychological and legal. Leading business representatives are invited to participate in the program. Courses such as Competitive Intelligence, Countering Industrial Spying will be led by the gurus of their cause.

Both programs include the “Information Law” course. It is read by a well-known expert in this field, Viktor Naumov, who defended the Vkontakte company in court from the claim of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The course “Business Analysis of Information” is clearly and vividly read by V. L. Abbakumov. Leading professors of the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State University are invited to attend courses in the economic block - this is prof. Pyatov M.L., prof. Malenkov Yu. A., prof. LD Shirokorad and others.

It must be admitted that studying at the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State University is difficult. The level of assessment of students' knowledge is very high. That is why the St. Petersburg State University diploma is valued in the labor market.
