Multimedia "combine" based on Android OS: RoverBox

Not so long ago, I described a gaming console based on Android , which, in general, is unlikely to get a large audience of consumers. But the multimedia "combine" RoverBox may well become the center of entertainment at home. As you can see, Android is gradually "moving to the masses", and not only as a platform for mobile devices. RoverBox, presented by RoverComputers - really practical and quite stylish device. Honestly, I personally liked the appearance of the RoverBox wireless keyboard most of all, but the device itself also looks pretty good.

Like other devices of this type, RoverBox allows you to watch TV, surf the Web, communicate on social networks. In general, RoverBox is positioned as a device that extends the functionality of a conventional TV. As already mentioned, the software platform for the device uses Android 2.2 OS.

For convenient control, you can and should use a wireless keyboard, or rather, a control panel, which is made in the form of a keyboard. If you do not like the remote, you can connect a standard keyboard and mouse, getting an analog desktop PC.

RoverBox developers have provided quite a lot of different ports and connectors, among which there is even a digital optical output SPDIF. Via USB, you can connect an external hard drive or USB flash drive. It is clear that there is a connector for connecting a network cable. The network can work without cords, for this module is provided WiFi.

Among the supported formats and codecs are the following: MKV, MOV, MP4, AVI, RM / RMVB, WMV, MKV, MP4, TS / M2TS / TP / TRP, MPG, VOB, MPG, DAT; plus H.264, VC-1, Real Video, WMA, VPG, MPEG-1/2/4, DivX4 / 5/6, Sorenson, Motion JPEG; plus MP3, WAV, WMV, AAC, OGG Vorbis, PCM, AC-3, DTS,

The device seems to be already on sale, but I could not find the price, either on the manufacturer’s website or anywhere else. Maybe someone knows?
