At the end of May, we announced a
strategic partnership with Softkey for publishing applications for Windows Phone 7.
Until that time, only developers from Russia could publish applications. At the same time, it was necessary to spend a lot of time and effort on filling out tax documents and passing formal procedures in connection with the requirement of Russian and American legislation and in order to avoid double taxation.
After signing the agreement, developers from both Russia and all CIS countries can
publish their applications via softkey. In this case, all legal and financial procedures are carried out by them.

Thus, developers from the CIS countries have the opportunity to become authors of popular applications, sell them to users in different countries of the world and earn money.
Developers from Russia now have a choice - either to do everything themselves, or to do it through a partner with an additional commission. It's like planning a vacation - you can book hotels, excursions, buy tickets and make visas, or you can do it through a travel agency. All information is available on a
special site Softkey.
I hope the number of successful applications from developers from neighboring countries will be more! Meanwhile,
gMaps from Belarusian and Russian developers has become the first in Europe and the sixth in the US free application on Windows Phone 7!
In more detail about the process of signing the agreement, I wrote in an
article on the site Digit.Ru.
