Truphone , a leading provider of mobile VoIP solutions, has released a new version of its mobile VoIP client, Truphone 3.0, adding interesting features. Simultaneously with the release of the client, a program was announced under which Truphone users will be able to make
free calls to 40 destinations by the end of 2007. The number of free directions included Moscow and St. Petersburg (only fixed numbers).
Truphone software allows you to turn a mobile phone running Symbian OS into a dual-mode phone, which, when it detects a Wi-Fi network, will allow you to make VoIP calls at fairly low
rates . The new version of Truphone also allows you to work in 3G networks. Truphone's tight integration with Google Talk allows users to discover active subscribers in the client window and communicate with them. The interaction between the servers of Google and Truphone is carried out using the standard XMPP protocol.
The new version of Truphone 3.0 will allow you to use the following features:
- Free calls between Truphone users;
- Free calls to landlines in 40 destinations, including Moscow and St. Petersburg;
- Mobile VoIP calls to landlines around the world at low rates;
- Free SMS messages between Truphone users, as well as SMS to mobile phone numbers;
- Free Voice Mail (voicemail);
- Presence - showing the online status of Truphone and Google Talk subscribers;
- Truphone will take care of automatically connecting to early found Wi-Fi points to help save user funds;
- Multi-SIM - a multi-SIM card application - designed for travelers who often use international SIM cards.

The Truphone client is completely free and
compatible with phones running Symbian OS ver. 9.1, 9.2.
