Characters: MobileNotifier - Tweak which became popular even before the public first beta, and which many people would like to see will see in iOS 5. Peter Hajas is the author of MobileNotifier for jailbreaked iPhones,
MobileNotifier
Without a doubt, one of the best, useful and organic tweaks for the iPhone, because it saves us from annoying popup notifications that interrupt the process of games, writing messages, or any actions of the owner. A key feature of MobileNotifier is the ability to view information about SMS, missed calls and application events that use native Notifiication. And also respond to messages without leaving the active window.
Now MobileNotifier is at the Beta 5 stage, but despite this it is behaving steadily. For 2 weeks of use there was not a single drop. I got into the system ideally, I managed to get used to it and forgot what the pop-up blue notifications stopped the process of working with this or that application.
Access to notifications by:
1. From the lock screen: By default, it collapses and displays only the number of missed events. To display the list of events, just click on "Missed Notifications". It is noteworthy that such manipulations do not require additional installation of LockScreen Info.
2. From the workspace: Be it a home screen or a running application. It is shown as a small bar at the top of the screen with an application, phone or message icon, with the name / phone and the first part of the message.
When clicked, a drop-down menu appears in which the rest of the message is visible, and a few buttons (Skip notification and go to ...), and in the case of SMS, offers to immediately send a response without leaving the active application if necessary.

The author of the utility last Friday announced that he was taking a break. And the development of tweak passes in reliable hands Kyle Adams, Tim Novinger and others. The reason for this phenomenon was the departure of Peter to Apple.
Perhaps this approach will be implemented in iOS 5 as many would like, but hopefully it will probably not be worth it in the next releases. WWDC will put everything in place on Tuesday.
UPD: A similar type of Notifications will still be implemented in iOS5
