For those who don't know yet, HackDay is a series of “working weekend” format events. Their goal is to develop the first version of the project from idea to prototype over the weekend. In the classic format on HackDay develop IT-projects. From time to time we set the theme of the events, and make media, social, gaming HackDay. In St. Petersburg, traditionally, most of the programmatic ideas are for programmers, unlike, for example, Moscow, where the main participants and authors are non-technical ideas who put together the technical part of the team under a carefully thought-out business.
This time we announced for the first time that we are waiting for projects with a thoughtful business component. Of course, in half of the projects, the business component consisted of “we are not going to earn money” until “we don’t know how to make money on it” :) The other half approached the matter more responsibly, but several teams had a clear idea how the project would bring money . In general, even this situation is a breakthrough for St. Petersburg projects. For the year and a half that we have been doing HackDay, the projects have evolved. Instead of the approach “I will now make such a social network that will bring a lot of money”, the environment gives thoughtful ideas from problem to solution.
It all began on Saturday morning at the DelUm Conference Center on Obvodny.

Work went on Sunday evening. At 18-00 the demofest began - the idea of ​​who gained something. Each project was given 6 minutes to present: 4 to present the project and two more to the questions of the jury and the hall.
The jury gathered excellent: Dmitry Knyaginin, managing partner, founder of the National Network of Business Angels “Private Capital”, Marina Masterova and Zhenya Barchenko, project curators of the business incubator Ingria, Yuri Myshinsky, director of the Idea. Investment. Innovation. ”, Yuri Yudin, head of Intel’s St. Petersburg branch, Ilya Chernetsky, marketing and producing projects at I-Free Innovations, Elena Blokhina, project manager at Oracle and Yevgeny Levin, analyst at Foresight Ventures.

Some managed to make fun again.


And the result. The traditional prize from HackDay, this time $ 1,000 in cash, received the project “Testing the sustainability of any form of association” . This is a highly specialized program for testing the stability of alliances in various fields based on the methodology of the theory of cooperative games.

Byheart Web service that will facilitate the memorization of foreign words. Nomination - “The most technically completed project”.
Fitness For You . Online fitness services, with which you can develop individual training programs, nutrition plans, get advice from fitness specialists. This project received as a prize a business card of an investor who is ready to invest 300 thousand rubles in a project.
Little Stories - An animated interactive book for iPad, won the Audience Award.
