Sony has demonstrated a portable NGP console in operation

Despite the numerous problems that fell as if from a cornucopia (such a bad horn in this case) to Sony, its specialists continue to work on the latest projects. In particular, closer to the final is a project to develop a portable console of the new generation of Sony NGP. The results of their work, the project team demonstrated at the event E3 2011. I must say that the device is really very interesting.

First, about the device configuration, which was announced by the company a little earlier (data taken from Wikipedia ):

- Central processor: 4-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor;

- Graphic processor: SGX543MP4 + with support for OpenGL 2.0;

- Display: 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 960 × 544, TrueColor;

- Dimensions: approximately 182 x 83.55 x 18.6 mm (width x height x depth);

- Buttons / switches: PS button, power button, directional buttons (up / down / right / left), action buttons (triangle, circle, cross, square), side buttons (right / left), two mini-joysticks, Start buttons and Select, volume buttons (±);

- Communications: IEEE 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 3G (optional [1]);

- Optional: GPS, electronic compass, stereo speakers, microphone, three-axis gyroscope and accelerometer, front and rear cameras, rear multi-touch panel;

As for the games, the device is compatible with the PSN online service and with games from this library (it remains only to wait until the service starts working as before, yeah). During the game, the device automatically adapts the “picture” to suit yourself, which makes it very comfortable to play. Guessing how it will all look like, no need, there is already a video with a demonstration of the gameplay and the capabilities of the console itself.







Personally, I like everything in this device - both the design, and the size of the display, and the configuration. I only wonder how much this console will cost in the CIS? Has anyone heard about the price of the device?
