New spamming trojan bypasses CAPTCHA
Spammers managed to fool captcha on Yahoo and Hotmail mail services. BitDefender reported on the discovery of a Trojan.Spammer.HotLan.A Trojan, which is really not embarrassed to find a picture drawn on the screen with distorted numbers and letters.
The appearance of this Trojan compromises CAPTCHA as a system, and the Yahoo and Hotmail mail systems are only “first signs”, which may be followed by other incidents. The speed of work of Trojan.Spammer.HotLan.A is rather high - it registers about 500 email accounts per hour from which spam is sent.
