In a couple of days, the Drupal conference in Kiev will begin (June 3-4). For several years now we have been gathering drupalers to socialize, learn and have fun.
Previously, the kempov format was
barcamp , which means that the schedule is formed right at the event and any participant can add their report to an empty space in the schedule. But lately, we have seen that we would be able to make more efficient use of time, space and money if we could schedule reports in advance.
This year, the
schedule of reports on DrupalCamp Kyiv 2011 we did before the start of the camp.
Speakers added abstracts of their reports long before the conference and we helped them prepare themselves and slides.

This is in contrast to previous camps - the schedule of reports is not formed during the conference, but before the start of the camp.

A predetermined schedule of reports solves several important tasks:
- Kemp visitors want to know what will be at the conference and want to plan their time.
- Speakers also want to know when they need to speak.
- The organizers want to know how many speakers there will be, what reports will be, as well as how much and what kind of premises will be needed.
- Sponsors also want to know what will be at the conference and whether it is worth investing in advertising.
Thus everyone wins!Your camp schedule?
As in previous camps, we have several streams of reports and camp participants will have to choose only 1 report out of 4, which they want to visit.
In order to feel comfortable on the camp, participants can pre-create their own schedule, where there will be only those reports that they have chosen.
To facilitate the selection, on the "Report
Schedule " page all the necessary information is given:
- Title of the report;
- Topic. Prior to the publication of the schedule of reports, the topics of the reports for which it was possible to vote were published. According to the results of this vote and build a schedule.
- The level of students at which the report is calculated;
- Photo of the speaker;
- The name of the speaker;
- There is a link to his profile, where there are all the necessary contacts and information about the speaker;
A screenshot of my personal reporting schedule is a handy thing:
