Another mechanical arm created by Shadow Robot Company

British scientists, specialists in robotics (this company, by the way, is quite well known in the industry) have created a robot arm with a large number of degrees of freedom and a good appearance. Of course, this is not yet the hand of the Terminator from the film of the same name, but already not those ridiculous crafts with a bunch of wires that hide the outlines of the manipulator that were created several years ago.

According to the company's management, over the past few months, its specialists have been working diligently to create a skilled robot hand that will look like a human. Presumably, specialists slowly manage to do what is intended.

The latest model of the “hand” is called the Dexterous Hand, this device has 24 degrees of freedom, and at the tips of the “fingers” there are special sensors with feedback. The robot's hand is controlled, so far, not by artificial intelligence, but by man, control is carried out by means of a special glove. However, this is indeed a very complex and almost perfect device.

It’s a pity, they didn’t show how this hand takes any objects, let's hope that the manipulator is already capable of it.
