ICE continues to block “pirated” domains

I remember that, half a year ago, the US authorities began to block domain names that “violate the law” by replacing the DNS, and exposing a page with three logos and a frightening text for everyone to see. This whole saga continues to this day, although ICE has not yet confirmed the validity of such actions. The most interesting thing is that the blocking of domains is done without warning, the administration of sites that are hosted on such domains, no one warns about anything, although it seems they should. So, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) yesterday and today blocked the next group of domains, causing outrage not only the owners of these domain names, but also many representatives of the Internet community.

The following domains were blocked yesterday:

Today they added more

* mygolfaccessory.com
* overbestmall.com

The guys from TorrentFreak contacted the administrator of Re1ease.net, the site that was blocked at all is unclear why (there were no pirated materials on this site except links to movies and TV shows on Megavideo.com). The administrator reported that no one contacted him, and the domain was blocked without warning. The administrator just updated the page in the browser to look at the changes on the site, and saw a picture from ICE, to which he was incredibly surprised.

Previously, the administration was approached by two companies that asked to remove references to certain TV shows and films, which was done immediately.

The most interesting thing is that the attendance of this “pirate” site was only 10 thousand people, and even fewer visitors reached the links to TV shows and movies. In general, the choice of US authorities blocking domains raises many questions, and the legality of such actions is also in question.
