The following two diagrams clearly reflect how computer manufacturers do not meet the market demand for matte and glossy screens.
We conducted a survey among PC Pro readers, what type of screen they prefer. Here is what they said:

But a diagram of the types of screens in nine laptops presented for testing in our laboratory:

I could give the exact same diagram for computers with touchscreens, which were also tested in the latest issue of the magazine. And, of course, not only PC manufacturers demonstrate such a love for glossy screens: Apple equipment buyers even
organized an online protest action , demanding models with matte screens in the iMac lineup. Some of the Mac fans claim that the glossy screens are so unpleasant for them that they even had to switch to Windows because there was no other choice left.
Why do people hate glossy screens so much? Without a doubt, the main reason is the glare. I use a laptop with such a screen every day and I am constantly annoyed by the glare across the screen from long lamps in the office, and the sun is even worse - in the train to work and home, the text on the screen is almost invisible.
Anyone who has a PC with a glossy screen at home is probably well acquainted with the daily procedure of erasing fingerprints, although you have already asked your wife and kids a hundred times not to move their arms even at a distance from the display.
Hopefully, PC makers wake up, notice widespread dissatisfaction with gloss and bring back matte screens.
