Panini launches hi-tech collectible cards

I don’t know exactly how the phrase “trading cards” is translated, but this concept includes baseball cards, which are popular mainly in the USA, and any other types of collectible cards. In general, nothing particularly interesting for a resident of any of the CIS countries, if not for the news that Panini has released a new device, an electronic collectible card. Bearing in mind how many DIY projects were created on the basis of a device that became somehow part of Vogue magazine, one can only imagine what local craftsmen can do with these new maps. And these cards are really well equipped.

Each of them includes a small display for video display, plus there are 2 gigabytes of memory. There is, of course, a small speaker that allows you to listen to the sound of the video recorded on the card. Probably, the domestic gadget lover will not be interested in records of tricks of basketball players, baseball players and other athletes there (although, who knows, maybe someone will buy cards to watch a video with your favorite athlete), but the possibilities of such a card are of considerable interest.

These cards will come with a small video showing us an athlete, and the remaining memory is useful for storing your own files. In general, HRX (High Reel Xperience) cards are something like mini-photo frames. The manufacturer promises HD-quality video, but it is clear that on such a small display a good quality video will look good.

If there are a lot of such cards, you can expect a variety of home-made devices based on such cards. Unfortunately, such cards will be invested in sets of ordinary cards - and not all such sets will contain similar devices. However, some time after the launch of sales of updated collectible cards, you can expect them to appear on Ebay.
