Computer Language Benchmarks Game - enough of tyranny

A service appeared 10 years ago called "Computer Language Shootout". Now it is called The Computer Language Benchmarks Game . The service gave at least some opportunity to fluently evaluate the performance of implementations of programming languages. The theme, of course, piquant. Time passes, interest in the subject does not fall. There is one "but." The service had been very specific before, but now the matter is very bad. This is not a performance evaluation. This is just a prism of the current owner’s personal ego, which kills the whole thing with its cosmic ray .

And after all, it is through such services that people should learn about various magnificent PyPy. But they did not please the owner. 10 years people tolerate it!

What are the key problems of the existing service?
')
1. ChSV owner

2. ChSV owner

3. visitors offer language implementations - it simply does not accept them

4. visitors offer implementation of tasks - he simply does not accept them

5. visitors show that a certain “dishonest” solution artificially introduces optimizing constructions into the implementation of the solution to the task, making comparisons meaningless - the owner ignores.

6. visitors show that the inability of the author to compile this or that should not look like a failure of the language on a given task - on the drum.

7. Disrespectful, in some places just a boorish attitude towards people who come with new “patches.”

Who can raise the stained banner and bring this business to any respectful level? All that is needed is a love for the topic “performance of implementations of programming languages” and time. The rest will follow.

Sorry for this cry of the soul. But another 10 years to wait no strength.
