Toshiba has changed its strategy for Russia

April 27, 2011 Toshiba’s Russian division of computer technology has announced the launch of a new business strategy in the Russian market.
The key moments of the strategy was the transition to the direct import of computer equipment to Russia, and a cardinal change in the approach to the segmentation of work with the sales channel.
The legal name of Toshiba’s Russian representative office has also changed: Toshiba Europe GmbH was earlier, now Toshiba CIS (“Toshiba CEI”).

Toshiba's sales department has undergone a number of changes and additions: it now has two divisions- Direction for working with large retail chains, and Direction for working with regional partners.

Igor Snytko presented the managers of the new directions of the sales department - Anna Smolyanitsuku and Alexander Khrenov.

"Toshiba is seriously rethinking its approach to choosing distributors for the company." - said Igor Snytko, General Manager, Toshiba CIS Computer Equipment Division, at a press conference. “We will continue to work with those distributors who can offer us more than just import and logistics services for large deliveries. That is, the promotion of Toshiba technology through the widest possible range of partners. ”

The company plans to begin a more active promotion in the regions of Russia, where it wants to reach small towns with a population of 50-100,000 people.

Toshiba speakers were supported by partners from ASBIS and M-Video, interesting facts on the market were voiced by GfK Rus agency.
