Ovi services will go under the brand Nokia

Nokia, it seems, is going to upgrade, get out of the impasse in which it was until recently (someone will say that Nokia’s stagnation or even regressive period continues, but we will not discuss this topic, see what happens next). Update is subject to the company's products, and, which is logical, its services. So, Ovi services, according to new information, are subject to rebranding, and by the end of 2012 they will be called Nokia services. Each service from the Ovi package will be simply renamed to Nokia.

The company's management explains its plans by the fact that the transition of everything and everything under the Nokia brand will make it possible to use the still valid Nokia reputation, which, despite the problems in the company, is still recognizable and recognized all over the world. Of course, many fans of Nokia products are no longer as such, but, nevertheless, supporters of the products of the Finnish company still remain, and there are a lot of them. By rebranding, the architecture of the whole brand will be unified.

The process of re-branding will begin in July this year, and the completion of the process is scheduled for the end of 2012. By this time, all services and products of the company in all countries will rise under the banner of the Nokia brand. Perhaps, those who buy a new Nokia device this year will be able to see the updated services. Those who already have products of the company will be able to join the new trend in the company's camp only after the release of updates, including firmware to mobile devices and software.

Interestingly, there will be almost no changes in the services, except for a simple change of the word “Ovi” to “Nokia”. The company's management, as mentioned above, believes that such a rebranding will really help, and, together with the implementation of some plans to change the company's strategy, all this will lead Nokia to the revival of the brand.

Let us hope that the rebranding will really give results, being connected with the new policy of the company. It remains only to wish Nokia that all this work really yielded fruit, and that rebranding was not a simple change of “sewed on soap”.
