Cross-language programming

Reading an article on the wiki about Quine, I remembered that a long time ago, a lot of clicks ago - I don’t remember the links, I read how one craftsman described the process of creating the source text of a program (script) working in two different languages. If my memory serves me, it was a bat-nickname that was successfully compiled into turbo pascale.

Probably here you need to enter two disciplines - interpreters and compilers. Yes, and the dialects of one language is also not very interesting.
