Meet the speakers of the school workshop Founders Bootcamp (part 1)

We are starting to acquaint you with the American business angels who will take part in the school-seminar Founders Bootcamp , which will be held from 2 to 5 June in the MSU science park.



Roy Rodenstein, founder of Hacker Angels Association and Going Company , director of business planning for AOL. Roy is a recognized guru in the field of product strategy and an active consultant and investor for start-ups, recently serving as a co-founder of the HackerAngels Association of Business Angels, as well as a mentor in the 500 Startups and Founder Institute projects. At the moment, after the acquisition by AOL of Going Inc. in 2009, Roy is director of business planning for AOL Corporation and manages projects in the Local & Ventures division. Roy Rodenshtein founded the company Going and during the first two years of its existence - from concept development to promotion of a venture capital investment project on the market - played the role of CEO and board member with exclusive authority to manage product development and design, Internet marketing and editorial content. Going, an undoubted pioneer in geographically-linked services, became one of the first leaders in providing user-generated content regarding local events and developed the first mobile web application to access the system on the go. Going Audience, which unites millions of young city dwellers in 30 US cities, has attracted the attention of customers such as Virgin America, Live Nation, BMW and Bacardi. Prior to that, Roy worked at IBM after the corporation acquired iPhrase Technologies, a provider of natural language search solutions, where he managed business lines with a yield of $ 10 million a year. Roy holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab (MIT Media Lab), where he wrote a dissertation analyzing the first instant messaging services and social networks. In addition, he has bachelor's and master's degrees in exact sciences in the field of computer technology from the Georgia Tech. Roy worked in leading human-computer research laboratories, such as PARC and AT & T Labs, and published in key international journals and conferences work on the practical use of a human-machine interface and computer-based collaboration. He is often invited to act as an expert or speaker in forums such as the Harvard Business School Ignite, the MIT Enterprise Forum and the Future Forward. Bami Bastani, Business Angel and member of the Seraph Group. Bami is a board member of many companies, including: Nitronex Corporation (RF Semiconductors), SkyCross, Inc.
