Amazon will release 1000 movies on HD DVD
Amazon now sells more than 300 films in HD DVD format and more than 400 films in Blu-Ray format. Soon they will be added another 1000 movies in HD DVD.
The project partner is Microsoft, which supports HD DVD. The corporation will provide its VC1 codec and a set of programs.
The goal of the project is to attract independent producers to the new technology.
