
A few hours left to the opening of one of the most anticipated and significant computer festivals - DE: CODED 2011, which will be held in Ukraine, the city of Lviv, the Palace of Arts on May 6-8.
de: coded is organized by students, members of the BEST community (Board of European Students of Technology), which has offices in 29 European countries. The festival will be held within 72 hours, starting from 9 am 05/06/2011 to 9:00 05/05/2011. It can be there around the clock.
de: coded is held annually, starting in 2006, but now it has become even more ambitious, you can safely talk about entering the international level. The expected number of participants is about 2000.

Personally, I am not the official representative of the festival, but I am a potential participant, and I want to inform the people about such a wonderful event.

This time, the entire Palace will be available: the organizers will be on the 1st floor, an exhibition will be set up on the 2nd floor, and the participants with their computers will be located on the 3rd floor. It should be noted that with the move of the hall with computers two floors above, the network also underwent some changes. Now it is designed for 550 participants simultaneously.
The main stage will be located on the 2nd floor in the exhibition area directly opposite the screen. An additional stage will be located on the 3rd floor in the participants hall and in the conference room. The conference hall is designed for 200 seats, it will host all the celebrations, seminars and presentations. For those who want to be in several places at the same time - live broadcasts from one hall to another :)

- AI: coded League of Artificial Intelligence Developers (Task: writing a bot program that will play according to the rules.)
- “AlgoMania” - algorithmic programming competitions ( Task: 7 algorithmic tasks.)
- Designers Technical Designers Cup (Task: modification of the design or appearance of the technical device. Prizes: Antec and Lian Li cases, as well as Zalman coolers from the store for gamers and enthusiasts 3ona51.com. Total prize pool - 12,000 UAH.)
- " WEB: CODED " - a competition for web developers from de: coded and Asign (Tasks with layouts and a description of the requirements for its implementation directly at the festival. One task is given for each day of the festival.)
- " Intel Music Competition "
- " Use what's at hand ... " (competition for developers from ASUS) (Task: consideration is given to any improvement and addition to the standard functionality of the software players and routers in any form - scripts, additionally installed "demons", user interface widgets or even completely custom firmware. In the discipline with the tablets, the theme for the utility will be announced.)
- " Do not throw the mother !" ( ASUS’s socially responsible competition) (Task: to bring any old, but working hardware from which working computers will be assembled.)
- " Such an attractive iron ... " (ASUS erotic-creative competition) (Photos are accepted for participation in the competition, the main characters of which are computer components)
- Competition for the development of Flash-games for the site Euro 2012 in Lviv

Intel round table you can find out in an informal setting what exactly the company offers to software developers, why you need all this and how you can make money on it.
Dmitry Oganezov from Nizhny Novgorod will tell us in detail about current programs for developers and, in addition, will be able to help all participants in the "cross: coded" contest if they require it;)

Oleg Golubovich , a journalist and project manager at XtremeLabs.org will tell us how to make the right choice when buying a personal computer. It will be about PC diversification, current market trends, comparison of user requirements, wishes and capabilities.

Dmitry Oganezov will hold a session called AppLab for application developers for netbooks and tablets. This time, the new features of the Intel AppUp (SM) developer program will be discussed and how to profit from the sale of your applications for netbooks in the Intel AppUp (SM) enter store.

Marius Ropota with OSF Global will conduct a whole workshop on the topic “Scalable Web Applications. Small applications, BIG solutions. This interactive session will last about three hours and will be held in English, so get ready :)
For me personally, the most interesting will be the Information Security contest, in which I plan to take part. After the festival I will try to write a report with photos and publish it here. Below I will bring a couple of photos and links where you can learn more and more details.
