Chinese oust Indians from offshore programming market

To date, the main global supplier of "trained programmers" is India. However, China may soon take its place.

So far, literacy and the ability to “rent” an unpretentious worker still help India to remain in the lead, but by 2011, according to IDC, the situation will change. The main suppliers of offshore programmers will be the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Dalian.

IDC specialists explain this by the fact that big money is now invested in areas that favor the development of offshore programming, technological infrastructure is developing there, and more and more citizens are able to connect to the Internet.
