Galaxy S II bypasses iPhone 4 on pre-orders in Korea

The new flagship Samsung Galaxy S II began to be sold from April 25 in South Korea. A few days before the start of sales, Samsung received more than 200,000 pre-orders, which were accepted by three South Korean operators. Approximately 10,000 orders were issued in the first 30 minutes, and after another 64 minutes their number doubled.

This is more than any pre-order in Korea, not only Samsung devices, but also Apple iPhones. For comparison, in August, Apple received from the Koreans 110,000 orders for the iPhone 4.

Apparently, the Galaxy S II record will not be beaten for quite a long time by any other manufacturer, and the plan to sell 10 million devices by the end of the year may well be feasible.
