About the task of the competition number 3:
I tried to pick a task more difficult and more interesting than the task of the competition №1 , but technically it is simpler than the task of the competition №2 . This task will require more ingenuity than programming techniques. The process of solving the problem, for me at least, was extremely fascinating. It is very interesting how a task breaks down into simpler subtasks that can be reduced to universal ones, and then the whole task looks completely different than it seemed at the initial stages. When solving, I experienced several flashes of “euryka”;) I hope that the solution of the problem will give you no less pleasure!
The sponsor of this competition is the Stock Technologies company - the developer of the SAT software, which is used to create, test and operate trading robots for Quik, SmartCOM and Plaza-2.

Competition plan:
May 10, 2011 at 14.00 Moscow time on the website ttools.ru will be published the text of the problem.
The initial data for the task is the file attached to the task text. For the third contest the file will be binary.
You can solve the problem in any convenient programming language.
The result of solving a problem is a file, the contents of which is with a certain degree of accuracy the correct answer. The answer option is the right decision for a certain share (from 0 to 100%). The source code of the decision algorithm is not required from the participant.
The competition is considered complete after the announcement of the end of the competition, after which the responses are not accepted. Completion of the competition will be announced one week after it starts. Responses will be processed once a day. The results of the competition (the list of participants who sent the correct decision) and the winner will be announced within one day after the end of the competition.
The competition provides a cash prize to the winner in the amount of 2500 rubles, in addition, a cash prize is provided for the maximum number of solved competitive tasks in the amount of 5000 rubles. The result will be calculated on the basis of 10 contests.
Competition rules:
Anyone can take part in the competition.
Special registration for the competition is not required. Confirmation of participation in the competition is the answer option in the attachment to the letter at the e-mail address konkurs@ttools.ru. Important: the response file should be sent not in the archive, the file name must match your email address and have the extension .dat. Those. if your email address is “ivan65535@yandex.ru”, then the file in the application should be called “ivan65535@yandex.ru.dat”. Answers will be processed automatically and other letters to this address will be ignored.
Each participant can make up to three attempts. The best of the first three decisions will be counted.
The winner is one participant whose decision is the most accurate and fastest.

will be published on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 14.00 Moscow time.
