I recently bought a camera - a simple Canon A550 digital soap dish for $ 200. It turned out that this miracle of technology is able to shoot good video in the format of 640x480 30 frames per second. So I found out that making a video is a cool activity, and I decided to check which camcorders could suit me.
If even on an uncomplicated camera you get a decent video, then with the help of a real camcorder you can probably create just video masterpiece masterpieces.
I, as usual, wandered on the Internet to see what was there and what happened:
Once again, I emphasize that we will discuss the results of my research, which I did personally for myself. For example, in the course of this research, I met the description of the excellent
Sony DCR-SR300C 100GB Handycam camcorder. A hard disk of 100 gigabytes can hold up to 70 hours of video. But this camcorder does not suit me because it is very difficult for me to find 70 hours of time to shoot a video. And then find 70 more hours to watch it all at least once - it’s just not realistic.
So, I chose devices with the ability to write to flash memory cards. This method of data storage is characterized by high reliability. As you know, flash cards have no moving mechanical parts and are not very sensitive to shocks and falls. And the fact that each card fits just a couple of hours of video suits me perfectly.
Here are some interesting options:
')
Panasonic HDC-SD1 AVCHD 3CCD Flash Memory High Definition Camcorder with 12x Optical Image Stabilized ZoomSupports SDHC memory card. On the memory card of 4 gigabytes is placed about one hour of high-definition video.
The price on Amazon is 845 dollars.
Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2 7.1MP MPEG4 High Definition Camcorder with 10x Optical ZoomOn the SDHC 8G memory card about 2 hours of high-definition 1280x720 video fit. The price on Amazon is about 600 dollars.
Aiptek GO-HD High Definition 720p Camcorder with 3x Optical ZoomIt also uses high-performance MPEG4 encoding and SDHC memory cards with a capacity of up to 8 gigabytes.
The price on Amazon is 250 dollars.
If you click on the links on the above pages, you can still find a lot of interesting things.
It is very important that all these camcorders write MPEG4 video. This allows you to record 1 hour of 720p high definition video for 4 gigabytes of memory or 1 hour of regular video for 1 gigabyte of memory.
For comparison, my camera writes a half hour video (640x480 30 frames / sec) for 4 gigabytes of memory. He can't compress to MPEG4.
Video cameras have another important advantage - they stabilize the image and eliminate the effects associated with hand trembling. I recently filmed my video a little while sitting in an uncomfortable position. The quivering picture turned out decent.
Please do not judge strictly my Taynik arguments. I just wanted to think a little about video recording and video cameras.
Comments of experts in the above area will be most welcome.
