Today (for someone it is already yesterday, but I still have it on May 1) the head of the gaming division of Sony Computer Entertainment at an official press conference on
recent events , announced the company's intention to restore the work of the fallen services in the near future. First of all, according to the company's management, the operation of the PlayStation Network online service will be restored.
Further, in the next few days, the following services and systems will be gradually restored:
')
- PlayStationPortable, will earn the ability to download games and other online service functions;
- access to the Music Unlimited service in Qriocity for PS3 / PSP;
- access to work with accounts.
As services are restored, existing system users will have to change the login data, plus install the software update - all this is mandatory. You can change the password and some other data either from the PS3 that you registered with, or you can use an e-mail account registered in the system, where the system will send instructions on changing the password to your account in PSN.
The security system, according to Sony management, will become much more reliable after the services are restored and all the planned changes are made. In addition, the reliability of the system, which is responsible for encrypting data in the PSN system, has already been improved. In general, developers convince users that nothing like this will happen again.
As compensation for the damage, users of the system who have registered before the fall of services will be offered a monthly free subscription, plus a “content” will be offered, which was mentioned somehow in passing.
