Want to go to Prague for free this September? To do this, you must create a mashup that wins the new Skype Developer Mashup Competition. The Skype API opens the Skype platform and, as you can see from the examples below, allows developers to do useful and innovative things. As for the contest itself, here is the information obtained from the Wiki :
The competition is held from June 22 to August 31, 2007;
The winner will fly to Prague for the days of Skype developers and beta testers, that is, September 12 and 13;
Third party reviews of all participants are banned until September 14, 9:00 GMT;
Ten winners will be encouraged and announced by Skype;
Winners will be rated by Skype (Skypeness, the value of Skype in the mash-up), usability, coolness, usefulness, stability and flair (can the mash-up overwhelm users)
Here are some ready-made mashaps (previously promised examples):
Unype.com : Use your Skype account to meet your Google Earth friends to walk around the virtual world with them.
Void.bot : Bot for an open group Skype chat written in PHP5 ( there are source codes ). Among other functions, it is possible to save chats on the Web and search for information on the Web using Google directly from the chat window. via ProgrammableWeb.com
