Call for applications for LVEE 2011 is open

The seventh international conference of developers and users of free software Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe will be held from June 30 to July 3 near Grodno.

Open acceptance of reports and applications for participation, sponsors are invited to cooperate.

The annual conference of free software developers and users in Belarus invariably gathers specialists in this field from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union countries, etc., near Grodno.

The official languages ​​of the conference are Russian, Belarusian and English. In Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe, professional exchange of experience is combined with three-day informal communication in nature. The format includes reports, short presentations, workshops, round tables. The range of topics presented at the conference is traditionally wide - from a story about new free technologies, software products and their implementation experience to an analysis of the legal and economic aspects of free licensing.

To participate in LVEE 2011, you must register on the conference website lvee.org . More information about the conference is available at the same address: project history, abstract design requirements, information on the delivery and accommodation of participants, materials from past conferences.

Both applications for participation and abstracts are accepted until June 12.

The Organizing Committee invites sponsors to participate. The event is traditionally supported by IT companies that are interested in collaborating with qualified specialists in the field of free software, as well as in supporting free software as a socially significant phenomenon. Participation in LVEE-2011 gives them an exclusive opportunity to work directly with the audience, consisting of the most active developers and users of free software.

Currently, SaM Solutions, Promwad, EPAM Systems, resources hoster.by and it-job.by have already announced support for LVEE-2011.
