Evernote for Mac shared notes, accelerated search, audio notes and more
The parade of big updates continues. Now, Evernote for Mac in the new version 2.1 can please you with a number of new excellent features, including opening of sharing of notes, recording audio notes and improving search speed.

In the previous Evernote for Mac update, we added the ability to share your notebooks and access those notebooks that were open to you. Today we are taking a new step in expanding sharing capabilities in Evernote for Mac. Now you can give access to a separate note via Facebook, Twitter, email or in any other way.
On the toolbar, you will find a new Share button. You just need to select the note that you want to show to others, click on this button and select the method of publication.
Now that this feature has appeared, Evernote provides a full range of sharing options, whether you are collaborating on a separate project in a separate notebook, or simply want to share your favorite recipe with your friends on Twitter.
Surely you would periodically like to record a conversation during a meeting or make voice notes for the future. New option "Audiotag" gives you this opportunity. Click on the microphone icon in the note creation window, and a sound recording control unit will appear at the top of the note. To start recording, click on the appropriate button. Then you can immediately send the received audio note to your Evernote account, or add text, attach a file or do something else. When the work on creating a note is completed, click on the "Save" button.
You can also start an audio recording inside an already existing note by opening it in a separate window and clicking on the microphone icon in the note editing panel. The recording will continue even if Evernote is in the background. The indicator of the recording being in progress will be the red dot of the Evernote slon in the menu bar.
The length of the record depends on the overall size of the note. For users of free accounts, the total size of one note can be up to 25 MB, while premium subscribers can create notes up to 50 MB. Thus, for free accounts, the recording time will be about 2 hours, and for a premium - about four hours (provided that the note does not contain other content).
Previously, it was quite rare to meet an Evernote user with several thousand notes. Now this is a common thing - and it's great! However, until recently, there was an unpleasant side effect: the search for these notes in Evernote for Mac became slower and slower over time. But now it is in the past. We have significantly increased the search speed. So now you can safely build up the base of your notes, without worrying about the fact that this will affect performance.
