Google will offer laptops with ChromeOS for $ 20 a month
According to Google’s plans, the first laptops running the ChromeOS operating system should appear this summer. In this regard, the search giant made a rather unusual decision to popularize its new creation - laptops with preinstalled ChromeOS will be available to buyers in fact by installments for $ 10-20 per month.
This scheme of implementation will be an experiment - for example, if a person purchased a computer for half the cost, he will pay the second part of its price every month for several months, and no commission or additional payments will be charged. ')
Curious is the fact that in any scheme of purchase people will be able to use the advanced features of services from Google, as well as receive a lifetime warranty on the gadget. In addition, the manufacturer will assume all costs of upgrading the computer, in particular, the replacement of its outdated components.
Something like that — a nonstandard implementation scheme — in 2006, Microsoft already offered to promote computers in emerging markets. But the FlexGo initiative, in which the user was not supposed to pay for the computer itself, but for the time spent on it, did not receive support and was curtailed.
