The winner of the competition "100 000 for a T-shirt" becomes ...

A little more than a month ago, we launched the Evernote T-shirt Design Contest . In a month, we published 730 papers (they sent us even more papers, but not all met the formal requirements of the competition). You can imagine how difficult it was for us to decide on the winner.

With the vote, we decided to do this: first, several employees from our company chose the three works he liked. As a result, the first round of candidates for victory was determined - 20 works .

Then we gave each Evernote employee the opportunity to vote for one job from this list.

As a result, the winner was determined, it was the work of EverSphinx :

Although the competition included more graphically complex works, and the works drawn, perhaps more professionally, this work combines interesting visuals and subtext, can tell a whole story. Or maybe we are all in Evernote a little bit romance and dream that Evernote becomes the same part of world history as the Egyptian sphinx?

In general, the choice is made, and we congratulate the author of this work!

And here is how the list of job candidates by the number of votes cast looked completely:

We even feel a bit sorry to leave the rest of the work “overboard” - among them there were a lot of interesting and very high quality works. With the authors of some interesting ideas, we may still contact in the future.

We would like to once again express gratitude to everyone who took part in this competition. Thanks you!

UPD. Winner comment:

Hello to all! I want to thank the organizers of the competition, Evernote employees, as well as all of all the participants in the competition. For me, it was a few weeks of amazing creative search, and a kind of “brainstorming”, because There were a lot of ideas, but really it turned out to be real. Only 3. Elephantine was the final and last work.

I am a dreamer and in my work I was guided by a dream. It is known that Edgar Cayce, an American clairvoyant, claimed that the pyramid of Cheops and the Sphinx were built between 10490 and 10390 BC. In his prophetic revelations, Edgar Cayce pointed out that the documents and materials of the lost civilization of the Atlanteans are kept in the Hall of Chronicles, located between the paws of the Great Sphinx. Cayce argued that these documents provide information about the history of the people of Atlantis.

Who knows what the sphinx looked like at that time? A lion? Or maybe ... An elephant? ... But the essence is the same, the sphinx keeps records about the world of the past and keeps them for a long time and reliably. Is this the main task of Evernote? And no matter how pathetic it may sound, let Evernote become the “sphinx” of the new millennium and preserve the “collective memory” of our civilization.

Many thanks again and I pledge to spend my winnings on a good cause for all.
