A few weeks ago, we wrote about the oldest camera in the world, which was sold at auction for $ 800,000. In August, the oldest car, or rather the steam car (running for a couple) of 1884, must go under the hammer. The car company De Dion-Bouton et Trepardoux, nicknamed Marquis ('La Marquise') was built a year before Gottlieb Daimler (Gottlieb Daimler) and Karl Benz (Karl Benz) built the first experimental car that runs on gasoline. "Marquis" can be cracked for half an hour, having spent, however, a lot of wood and coal. But it is striking that the car born in 1884 is still working and has a maximum speed of 38 miles per hour (about 50 km / h).
