Festival "Multimatograf VII"

This holiday animation awaits Vologda at the weekend. The annual open international festival of multimedia creativity "Multimatograf" will be held for the seventh time.

For two days the city will turn into the capital of animation art, because the festival program includes seminars, workshops, an exhibition of retro computers and much more. The result of the festival events will be an unforgettable gala concert, which will begin at the Russian House OKZ on April 24 at 18:00. On it, viewers will see the best clips, cartoons and other video works of the seventh festival.

“Multimatograf-2011” traditionally breaks records: this year the number of submitted works was close to 200, and 99 works will take part in the competition program of the festival. All of them "fit" into the framework of four nominations: "Cartoon", "Video Art", "Clip" or "Game" - a sequence of frames that can not be attributed to other nominations. The geography of the participants is also amazing: Russia, USA, Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Israel, Ukraine, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Canada, Georgia, Germany, India - only 15 countries and 37 cities.

During the two days of the festival there will be workshops and seminars from renowned animators, designers, VJs and artists. Anyone can visit them for free . Among the guests of the Multimatograf this year are: Sergey Merinov, artist and director of the Pilot studio, Pavel Muntean, head of the animation studio Toonbox, and many others.

Also within the framework of the festival there will be an exhibition of retro computers with competitions and awarding the winners.
