Drupal Conference in Kiev 3-4 June 2011

The closest Drupal event is a conference in Moscow (April 23rd). If anyone is going to be there, then see you there. I plan to be there too. Do not forget to register so that organizers can plan everything in the best possible way.

For those who for various reasons do not fall on the camp in Moscow, there is an opportunity to visit the next DrupalCamp on June 3-4 in Kiev .
DrupalCamp Kiev is a conference dedicated to CMS Drupal. We expect to gather up to 400 participants - both experienced drupallers and those who are just starting to get acquainted with Drupal.

The format of the conference this year will be different. This time we will form the schedule of reports in advance. This will allow those who are planning to attend the conference to decide whether it will be interesting for them there, and it will also be easier to make your own plan for holding the conference - there will be as many (!) 4 streams ! One of the streams will be in English (12 reports). The remaining 3 streams (36 reports) will be given to the Russian-speaking speakers. These are the main differences in the format of the conference this year.
But still there is an abundance of communication , exchange of experience and, of course, fun .

In addition, the event is planned for the classic code sprint and sprint translators , as well as many other competitions .
Already, those who have registered can choose the topics of reports that they would like to hear. This means that the speakers will be able to prepare exactly what the camp participants want to hear! The preparation of the report takes time and if you add your vote 1 day before the conference, it is unlikely to be taken into account by the speakers. Therefore, hurry to make this camp useful for you - “plus” interesting topics for you.

If you are planning to make a report , then do not delay the creation of slides for the last night. Camp participants want to see what will be in the schedule. Add your report topic and abstracts now and we will try to help you with the preparation of the report.

For those who crave for knowledge, two trainings will be held at the conference.

• Basic training ( 1 day before the start of the conference ) - each participant of the training will create a website that will be posted on the Internet, filled with content and with its own unique design. I was preparing a program for this training and I am preparing a report for a conference in Moscow, where I want to consider the possibility of creating a full-fledged service website with design and content in 15 minutes (!). Therefore, I can say for sure that in a few hours a person who is friends with an Internet and a computer will be able to create an excellent site on Drupal 7. Come to try it.
• Advanced training ( after the conference ) - will give the necessary knowledge to create your own modules, and this frees you from dependence on other modules and their architecture. Also, you can do all this yourself - you will make some of your own simple modules, learn the drupal hooks and you will be able to add the functionality you need to the site!

By the way, they promised to bring an interesting western speaker, but for now it is not known who it will be. It is unlikely that it will be Steve Jobs, although, I think, he might like our English-language stream!
