As they
write in Engadget with reference to The Wall Street Journal, Apple sued Samsung Electronics for copying the “
look and feel ” of the iPad tablet and iPhone smartphone.
The charge relates to the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, which has more than a slight resemblance to the models of iPhone 3G / 3GS, and a little less obvious devices Epic 4G, Nexus S and Galaxy Tab.
The intellectual property infringement claim is worded as follows:
')
Instead of innovating, developing its own technology and a unique style for its smartphones and tablets, Samsung decided to copy the technology, user interface and innovative style of Apple in their products.
The lawsuit was filed in the Northern District of California on Friday.
In Engadget they note that we should not forget that in such legal fights it rarely comes to the point of actually making a decision, and that most likely everything will end in reluctant handshakes and licensing in exchange for money.
However, it is still interesting to watch the quarrel between the partners. After all, as you know, Samsung is a supplier of parts for a number of Apple products.
