Registrars compensate for the extension of the Japanese domain

Just over a month ago, an earthquake struck the coast of Japan. Probably we all know what followed. Perhaps you remember that the Internet was stable . With people, however, things are somewhat different.

In any case, some of the registries of domain zones decided to compensate registrars for the renewal of domains whose registration period expires from March 11 to April 30. The reason is simple - it could be trite for people not to be “Internet”. Compensation (either free, for the registrar, extension) applies to all domains of the .org, .asia, .mobi, .me and .info zones registered by Japanese customers. Registries hope that this will "soften the suffering" of people.
Registrars are therefore asked to refrain from the hasty removal of unpaid domains.
The registry board was followed by large foreign companies like GoDaddy. We would be glad, but there were no Japanese.

Such is the social responsibility in the domain business.
