In Google Docs appeared pagination and embedded print

Google Docs developers have added a classic text editors function to the service - pagination, that is, the ability to split a document into pages.



Pagination adds visual page breaks when editing documents, so now you can see, for example, how many pages of your report you have already written. Accordingly, headings now appear at the top of each page, and not just at the top of the document, page breaks actually move the text to a new page, and footnotes are displayed at the bottom of the pages.

If you prefer to edit documents on one continuous page, you can hide page breaks by selecting the “Compact” document viewing mode from the “View” menu.



Also now has embedded print. Previously, in order to print a document, you had to first convert it to PDF, which then had to be opened and printed by itself. Thanks to the built-in printing, the document can now be printed directly from the browser, and the printed document will exactly match what you see on the screen.

So far, inline printing is only available in Google Chrome, but the corresponding web standard is open to everyone and it is possible that the developers of other browsers implement it on their own.
