Alexey Novikov about design in general and about website design in particular
Most people (and our customers, as a rule, people) use the word “design” as a kind of glamorous substitute for the words “design” and “appearance”. This is determined by statements like "I want the design to use photographs of young cheerful people."
By design, I mean more than just design. You can, of course, cite a lot of definitions, tell about “artistic design,” but I will try it in my own words. Design is not how a thing looks, but how it works.
Take, for example, the design of Apple laptops. This is not only a glowing apple or the milk plastic of its body. These are things like a well-made keyboard backlight or a MagSafe connector. The power cord is not inserted "tight, on the tonsils," and rests on a magnet. If you accidentally hit the cable with your foot, then you will not pull an expensive laptop off the table. The cord will just bounce. Because the design is good. ')
