On the other hand, the mass distribution of tablet devices, in the first place, the iPad made the program interfaces so convenient and intuitive that the users of the highest rank, who had previously transferred computers to their assistants and secretaries, joined the users.
Of course, the iPad has become the most popular mobile device among executives. There are cases when first a batch of iPads was purchased, and then the task was set to provide the necessary tools for mobile work with the help of already received iPads. At the same time, the class of devices for transforming laptops (for example HP Touchsmart) is unfairly forgotten. The growing number of tablets from other manufacturers of Samsung Galaxy, Viewsonic ViewPad and others also ignore them. Again, over time, it turns out that with all their convenience and originality, iPads have not only advantages, but also disadvantages.
Every day in our work we hold in our hands three of the listed models - HP Touchsmart, Viewsonic VPAD and, actually, iPad.
I will try here to collect general impressions of work from everyday use with these devices as a whole, and about specifics in terms of working with documents and organizing the workplace of a manager.
Let's start with the simplest - technical characteristics.
Actually, this small table clearly confirms what we already know. The iPad is the easiest, and according to the manufacturer, the most autonomous (up to 10 hours without recharging). And at the same time, the iPad is the only device that does not have a USB connection.
