Ticket for RIT ++ is being played!

We prepared another surprise from the company REG.RU - drawing a ticket to RIT ++ - the main professional conference of the year. Be warned: this time we came up with a difficult task!
Contest participants need to offer the best option to optimize the loading / display time of the home page of www.reg.ru. Show ingenuity - after all, of course, the developers of REG.RU have tried a lot, and the company managed to find effective solutions - both among standard and non-standard optimization methods.
To participate, send from April 11 to April 17, 2011 the solution of the problem to the e-mail box at present@reg.ru, indicating the name of your REG.RU account for identification. Before you go into battle, do not forget to familiarize yourself with the technical requirements for completing the task:

- the solution should include one or more HTML / CSS / JS code optimizations, images or other recommendations that reduce the time the page is displayed since the start of the page loading; decisions are made to reduce the page display time from the beginning of its loading by at least 10%;
- all proposed solutions should be checked by the authors in practice for the contents of the REG.RU main page;
- the check should be carried out in conditions “as close to real as possible”, i.e. the limited channel speed from the “server” to the “client” should be taken into account, realistic response time (at least 10 ms);
- optimization, tested only when loading page files from a local disk without channel emulation, in general will not reflect the real picture of loading and, other things being equal, will lose to the solution tested under conditions “close to combat”;
- it is desirable to provide figures in the report with loading time and / or page loading graphs before and after optimization;
- decisions are made in free form;
- in the contest participate the answers falling under the current conditions;
- the contest organizers reserve the right to decide whether the response falls under the terms of the contest.
We draw your attention to the fact that only an active client (having at least one active service) of REG.RU company with a valid account can become a participant in the competition. The prize can not be replaced by a cash equivalent, can not be returned and exchanged.
In addition to the desired ticket for RHS ++, we have prepared 2 incentive prizes:
2nd place - 3 months of free hosting at the rate of VPS-2;
3rd place - 1 month of free hosting at the rate of VPS-2.
Recall that for all REG.RU clients an exclusive discount of 10% for participation in the conference is valid!
The results of the competition will be announced on April 19, 2011 on the REG.RU website.
