In America, Windows 7 for the first time overtook Windows XP

StatCounter today published a monthly report from which it follows that as of April 10 in America, the share of Windows 7 among operating systems was 31.71%, while the share of Windows XP dropped to 31.56%. The authors of the report admit that the difference is rather insignificant and can be clarified in the following reports, however, the very tendency of reducing the share of Windows XP and increasing the share of Windows 7 is well marked.
It should be noted that in Europe the situation is close to that observed in the United States. The share of Windows XP is decreasing and currently stands at 39.75%, while Windows 7 is increasing - now it is 34.03%.
The share of the Linux operating system on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean is close to one percent.
